Delhi NCR, 13th April 2016- Asian Institute of Medical Sciences (Asian),a Private Equity funded chain of Hospitals & Clinics based in Delhi NCR, on Wednesday took over a 100-bedded Dwarkadas Jalan Memorial Hospital located in Dhanbad, Jhakhand to manage the hospital on a long term basis. MOU was signed in the presence of Honorable Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shri Raghuvar Das, by Directors from Asian Hospital Mr. Anupam Pandey, Dr. Prashant Pandey, CFO Piyush Nagori & trustees of Jalan Hospital Mr. B.P. Dalmia and Mr Rajiv Sharma.
The Hospital Operational Since year 2003, is a basic secondary care hospital. The Hospital in a phased manner would be expanded to 250 operational beds with an investment of 250cr to make it a High end Tertiary Care Hospital. The hospital would be rechristened as Asian Dwarkadas Jalan Superspeciality hospital. Speaking on the occasion Dr. N.K. Pandey (Recipient of Padmashree & Dr. B.C. Roy Award), Chairman & Managing Director, Asian Hospital Said For me it is like coming home since I have completed my Education from Dhanbad. This is our first hospital in eastern India. In short term we are going to establish the services in Neurosciences, Cardiology & Gastroenterology and apart from other specialities. We will also add technology to support 250 bedded Hospital for the people of Jharkhand. I would like to specially Thank CM of Jharkhand Shri Raghuvar Das for his support healthcare facility in the state of Jharkhand.

This is after the success of acquiring management of a new 140 bedded hospital in Sambhal Western UP.

It aspires to increase its number of beds by adding additional 1,500 beds by 2018 with focus on Northern India and Eastern India. The group has recently appointed a boutique merchant banker to raise funds to fuel its growth plans.
